God Has Not Given You A Spirit of Fear

Whether it is a mass shooting or an unstable political climate this world is constantly morphing towards more instability. Despite the conditions around us, we cannot live in fear. A spirit of fear is oppressive, haunting, and dominating in nature. It overrides courage in a way that drastically alters one’s behavior.

This is why the Apostle Paul reminded Timothy that a spirit of fear does not come from God. The question we must ask ourselves is, if not God then who? To repeatedly defeat fear we must realize life crippling fear comes from Satan. Scripture tells us in John 10: 10a (ESV) that he desires to “steal, kill and destroy.”
